The Arthritis Society is offering a free two hour workshop for people living with arthritis and their families. To register for this free workshop, please see the attached document.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 17th, 2010 at the Town Hall in Sydenham.

With the recent change in weather condtions and heavy rainfall, South Frontenac Fire and Rescue is reminding all residents to use extreme caution when venturing out on the ice.

Also due to flooding, parents should be reminding children of the serious dangers of playing in and around flooded areas especially areas with fast moving water.

The South Frontenac Natural Environment Committee will be hosting a "nature talk" on Wednesday, March 17th. Ron Hipfner will be speaking about endangered species in South Frontenac. 

This will be held at the Trinity United Church Fellowship Hall in Verona - 6689 Road 38.

Sydenham High School is offering contact Football for kids in Grades 5-8 - no experience required. Cost will be $200.00, cheque payable to Golden Eagles Football (This includes a jersey, new pants and the use of the equipment). The camp runs from Tuesday, April 20th to Sunday, June 27th. Practices will be Tuesdsays and Thursdays at the Loughborough Public School field from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Games will be on Sundays.

The Public Works Department will be accepting applications for summer students. The Department will be hiring students who will be responsible for duties such as flagging, whipper snipping around guard rails, cold patching, picking up roadside debris, and general maintenance.
