Planning Assistant - Anne Levac - Ext 2224
The Planning Department deals with land use in the Township. This includes issues related to the Official Plan which sets the municipality’s vision for long-term growth in the township as well as the basic requirements for development, and the Comprehensive Zoning By-law which establishes specific requirements and regulations related to various categories of property. In addition, Planning Department staff consult with agencies and government bodies, and other municipal staff in order to provide appropriate advice to members of the public who are seeking to better understand their options in relation to the use and development of their property. Applications for severances and minor variances are processed through the Planning Department, as are zoning and official plan amendments, applications to close Township road allowances, requests for fence-viewing, and subdivision proposals.
